Myrtle is coming TODAY!

So excited that my niece, Katie, (AKA Myrtle) is coming to spend time with us!!!

 It's hard to believe these two will be 12 & 13 years old this upcoming year.

 This girl below will be 5 in 2012. Here she is in JuJu's mink.  I don't believe she would ever be able to keep a cream colored fur clean at her ripe age of 4 1/2!! She was so mad I was taking her picture. Every picture I have lately is a blur because she is SO OVER her mother taking her picture! Ever get that response from yours?

 I cooked my first ham in 34 years! Oh my gosh! It's amazing what dark brown sugar & a 325 degree oven can do for a few hours with a ham! I am in love!

Christmas OVERLOAD! 2011

Get ready. I've got a bunch!
What a precious week we had to celebrate Christmas, family, our babies. It was wonderful. The boys are hunting today & Kenlee & I are straightening up, going to Publix, and enjoying a day of relaxation.
I hope you had the best time this weekend with all of your families.

When JuJu (Josh's Mom) arrived, they painted ornaments & had a good time!

 One of the nights she was with us, they baked cookies & LOVED that. They really created some masterpieces.

The kitchen table was a great creation station!

 Christmas Eve we went to my parents house.

 Josh's Mom always makes great appetizers. This was smoked salmon, capers, fresh dill with purple onion, tomatoes & cream cheese!

 Biggy got the Air Hog plane that records & takes pictures in the air. SO COOL & this was his fav gift of all time I think. He's spent a lot of time outside with this!

 This is the first year Kenlee has really loved playing with Barbies. And she LOVES them.

 Biggy gave up his bed for Juju which she really appreciated, so he was on sofa city. He loves that though. She gave him some Itunes giftcards!

She gave me this neat planner & journal. It has a daily bible verse & I love writing & journalling. Right up my alley!

 Here they are on Christmas morning! They slept in until 7:30 which beat last years 4 am! YAY!

What a wonderful holiday.
The only bad part of the weekend was that my best friend, Cheryl's, Dad died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. She is always taking care of her friends, making sure her kids are having fun, giving to everyone she knows, and I just love her. Pray with me for she & her family ~ I'm praying they have a peace that passes all understanding, safe travels, and feel surrounded by love for the days to come.

She always bakes cakes & let's the kids help her in the kitchen around the holidays. Something they always look forward to!

Bring on the HOLIDAY! I have to clean like a mad woman today!
I must tell you! On the post before this...you know, the chicken ball....it is SO MUCH better if you prepare it & let it sit in the fridge overnight. It really let's the ranch dressing packet flavor the chicken & cream cheese. Just a little note in case you want to make it soon!

A Party!

Kenlee's teacher gave all of the girls a puzzle & a hair extension. They were hilarious! Here is picture overload of her party, but I just can't help it. I'm a little obsessed with pictures these days!

 Kenlee LOVES Mrs. Sheri & says she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten next year & that she wants to be in Mrs. Sheri's class!

 Each little love brought a gift for the classroom! We got a big floor puzzle for the class. Kenlee is opening it up below!

 I made a new appetizer & it just takes these simple ingredients plus a regular size cream cheese that I forgot to add in the pic!

 Just mix the block of cream cheese, drained chicken & a packet of dry Ranch dressing mix.

Ta Da! It makes a pretty little ball. You can use chopped pecans rather than bacon & it would be delish! I'm trying that next time.
