VBS 2010!

Our week of VBS @ Southside ~ A fun time was had by all!! I have attended before, but never helped like this & it was a blessing!
I'm far from perfect, I don't always do things the way that I should, but you know what...that's ok. I have a friend that posted this & it gave me chills....
"I made her in such a way that she would need Me. I made her a little more lonesome than she would like to be only because I want her to turn to Me in her loneliness. Only because I need her to learn and depend on Me. I know her heart because I made her." -Creator

Me & my girl!!

Kenlee & I had a date tonight ~ Biggy is with Auntie Jill this week (we miss him so much ~ but he's having the best time!!) and Josh is fishing in a tournament tonight after spending the day with his girls. He was off today for his birthday @ work & we had a good day together. So Miss Thang & I went to the pool, shared a tiny chicken pot pie, I gave her a fun bubble bath & we've been playing ball in the living room. It's now 10, she's watching a little Barney to get sleepy before bed.
We spent a great Father's Day in Oxford with my sister & neice & parents. I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't bring my camera (not like me!) and we had all sorts of good photo opportunities! We went to eat & then took the kids to Oxford Lake & had such a nice time & fed ducks & squirrels. We even watched my Mom yell at some little kids that were trying to hit geese with a stick & we were her biggest cheerleaders :)

Here are my parents...Happy Father's Day to my Dad. He loves us unconditionally & I am so thankful for him. He's always our rock when in crisis mode & is always there for us & loves it when his kids call him!! I feel so blessed that God gave me the parents that I have...I know John & Jill feel the same way.
When I first moved to Alabama, I hated my school & a lot of people made fun of me b/c my midwestern accent was pretty thick back then! My Dad went & sat in the office for the first couple mornings & told me if I needed him, he would be right there. Finally, after a couple days of that, I went to the office & told him that he could go to work now :) How many Dad's would do that? I love him so much.

And without Josh...I wouldn't have Logan & Kenlee. I'm thankful for him & how he always makes Logan crack up, how he plays Wii with him & helps him with homework, how he takes him deer & turkey hunting, he's so patient with both of our kids & that is good, because sometimes this Mom is not :) He adores Kenlee & is so thankful for his girl, he still loves to rock her, he always protects her..

That's all for now. My goal is to post at least twice a week for the rest of the summer. :) We are making all sorts of memories & I need to be capturing them in our blog. Have a great weekend!!

Nana's, Kenlee & a little reconnection.

We got to celebrate Kenlee's birthday over a few days & she loved being adored! I can't believe 3 years have gone by. She has the love of so many & I am so thankful for everyone that cares for our girl. She has a protective, loving brother that I pray she is always close to ~ he LOVES her so much. She got to celebrate at school, with Addie Kate & family, with Allie, Jackson & family & all of her Grandparents. Here are a few pic's over the last weekend of celebrating her precious life! What a love. She is an amazing little ball of energy & I can't believe she is a product of Josh & I with God's hand in control! What a little spit fire our girl is & I'm so thankful for a girl that knows what she wants, doesn't get too comfy around strangers, loves rocking (still) before bed, loves her friends so much, feels protection & love from her Biggy, and is as cute as I think a girl should be allowed :)

We also got to spend some time in Oneonta with Nana Noval & her family. It was wonderful. They have a dog named "Red Bone" and we adored him. He looked like Max & brought tears to these brown eyes! I miss him! They have horses, goats, lots of dogs, Kenlee & Logan were soooo happy! It was wonderful being with them. Noval does weddings & runs Capps Cove Bed & Breakfast. Check it out ~ www.cappscove.com ~ it is AMAZING - the most beautiful land & antiques I have ever seen in these cabins. It was a DREAM to just see this property.

We had a date last night since my parents watched the kids so I could work yesterday & today. You never realize how busy life gets and how reconnecting is more important than ever. We were desperate. I loved every second with my husband last night & I can only pray more nights like that are in our near future. Let's be honest, how often do you get time alone?
Our little's are back home & sound asleep & we are so happy to see them.

Our precious boy turns 10 tomorrow. I can't believe it's been 10 years since God blessed us with him. I told Josh tonight I remember our drive to RMC thinking I had pulled a muscle, but we were surprised when we got there that my water had broken & I was dilated to a 4 & we didn't even have clothes or a bag or anything! We were clueless & 23!!
How did we get so lucky? I can honestly say, I have a little boy that LOVES his family, cares about others, is protective of his little sister, is smarter than I could ever be, enjoys being busy, loves golf, loves his grandparents, tells his cousin Katie he loves her EVERY time they talk on the phone (daily so far this summer), loves going to church, inspires to be a dentist, likes it totally dark while sleeping, loves riding his scooter, loves being around others, loves Nerf guns, wants a PS 3, cracks up at all of his Dad's jokes, loves riding the 4 wheeler, hunting, fishing, and is just an all around good little "Biggy" - THANK YOU GOD for 2kids that I need more than air. I love them with my whole soul.

Sorry for a mushy post, I just can't tell you how much I love my little's.
And I have tried 3 times to download pictures. What's up with Blogger downloading? I will try again tomorrow to add pic's to this post. Nighty Night!
