Last night we didn't have practice for the only night this week!!!! Squeal!
I had picked up a ham earlier in the week & thought we could ham it up a bit....
so that's what we did. We dyed Easter eggs & ate ham & fresh green beans. It's beginning to look a lot like SPRING!
Ham & veggies! Yay to that!
I smeared dark brown sugar on the outside. It looks a little bit gross here, but it gave the inside just the right sweetness!

Cabbage your Rolls!
It's getting about time for this!
Bring on the sunshine!!
I made cabbage rolls the other night. They turned out dilly-dang delicious.
I must share. Do with them what you will, but if you try them, let me know how you like them!
Brown 1 1/2 lb. ground sirloin & cut up some onion to cook in with it ( I skipped this because my boys aren't a fan of chunky onion, but I know it would be tasty).
Cook a cup of instant rice in a cup of boiling water like it says on the instant rice box....
Drain hamburger, mix in rice, then add a 1/2 can (small can) of tomato sauce. Reserve the other 1/2 to pour over cabbage rolls before baking. Then add an egg in with this mixture (mix well), salt, pepper (to taste) and 2 Tb. ketchup. The ketchup I used is shown below in one of these little pictures & it was so much better than Heinz in this, not syrup-y sweet & almost had a cinnamon taste to it. It's the Publix organic kind. Mix it all up really good then after you have peeled the first few layers off of the cooked cabbage, start making your wraps. Plop a big helping of the mix on a cabbage leaf....
Roll those babies up securing with a toothpick.
Out of order, but here is the lovely ketchup I used. Simply delish...and try it in meatloaf if you dare! You won't want to go back to Heinz!
Bake @ 350 for an hour, covered with foil.
So yummy. We even heated some up the next night & they were equally delish.
And today we've snacked on Concord grapes & they couldn't be more delicious.
I love how Instagram makes them look!

Sidenote: look at the temperature on my oven & the time, they were both 350!! HA!
Boil your cabbage for about 4 minutes. Takes a while to get water boiling in a big pot like this one.Brown 1 1/2 lb. ground sirloin & cut up some onion to cook in with it ( I skipped this because my boys aren't a fan of chunky onion, but I know it would be tasty).

A CLEAN ROOM!
Oh dear.
I hope she doesn't follow in my footsteps when it comes to cleaning.
This is what her room looked like when I asked her to pick things up & straighten up so Mommy could vacuum.
At least she helped & I told her she really made her floor better so that I could clean it up.
The real housewives don't know what they are missing out on.

Snip Snip!
Here she goes, falling asleep again...
My precious friend, Britany, always knows how to relax my girl where she falls asleep while getting her hair done :) I love it!
I wish the sun wouldn't have shown its streak right through my Biggy's picture! Here they both are after getting groomed :)
My little beauty after her cut!
And thankful for some time swingin' with my loves...
Biggy'g gearing up for his first ballgame this Saturday. Practice every day this week. Are you kidding me?? They mean business in this neck of the woods, I'm afraid! NOT what we are used to! But he's having fun, and that is what matters.
I miss Spring Break already!!!

Confessions....
Call me Nasty Nancy.
I will admit it.
Our bedroom was out of control. But I'd like to show you my side of the bed vs. his side of the bed....
Mine...
His.
Don't worrry, I fixed it all yesterday, but I'm just showing you how I let things get out of hand. I scrubbed our room down, fan & all & dusted, rearranged our drawers, I'm feeling much better about my state of nastiness. What happened to the sweet cleaning lady I used to trade massage for cleaning with? I miss her. She moved to Chattanooga. :( I would give her a 2 hour massage for every cleaning & I felt like I owed her way more than that because when I would walk into a freshly smelling, clean house, I wanted to cry with joy :)
Spring Break has been fun, relaxing, busy & wonderful all at once. Everyday there have been up to 5 little guys here playing basketball & listening to Kenlee tell them what to do. It's been so much fun for Logan & I'm so glad. He's growing up fast.
I've fixed lots of snacks this week for the boys (and girl :) ) and we've gone through 4 containers of these babies....
He did have a buddy spend the night & yesterday I took the kiddies to Chick Fil A for lunch...
Almost to the age where smiling for a picture is about to be a no no :)
Kenlee has gotten a few new clothes this week...she picked them & some of them are a little tacky, but hey, at least she chose a dress.....
Happy Spring Break to you!

Horsin' Around....
Here are more pictures from your rodeo day @ school, Kenlee! You had the best time!
Story time before seeing the ponies!
Kenlee & Brady ~ his Mom was a great customer of ours in what seems like our previous lives at the UPS store!
This is Kenlee & Mrs. Sheri ~ she is a blessing in our lives!

SpRiNg BrEaK for a KING and his Sister!
It's funny how months of prepping for something, can fly by so fast.
Here is Biggy (Logan) visiting with me, my Mom & Dad as we told him how good he did.
He said he does not ever want to wear eyeliner again. HA! They didn't tell him they were going to smear that on the cast!
It was hilarious that the Silent King was smaller than most, but he fit the part just perfectly.
If you ever have a chance to see "Once Upon a Mattress" ~ please do, it's funny & a great play.
Now onto Spring Break!!!
Building Bird houses!
Finding a chrysalis ... and I tell you that's what it is, because my 4 year old told me what it was & then gave the definition! Good thing she's smart like her Biggy!
After running through the sprinkler, washing the car, watering the plants & playing basketball with Biggy.....
Can't even keep her eyes open!
Playing at the ballfield while Biggy practices!
Beautiful Alabama Sky!
Making lots of food in a row so I don't have to cook every night of spring break :)
My Chicken Pot Pie!
And last night I baked turkey meatloaf, noodle bake & tonight I made homemade chicken noodle soup so I can boycott the kitchen for the next couple days :)
But the GRAND FINALE of this post is my Mother-in-law's WONDERFUL Caesar Salad.
I'm about to show you & if you try it you will know what I mean when I say it is the best salad of life!
I don't know that I did it justice, but I sure tried.
JuJu's YUMMY Salad....I can not take the credit...I can just pass it along because I think everyone should try it in their life.
Start off with a little dollup of mustard in a bowl...yep, the good old fashioned kind you dip a hot pretzel in.
Sprinkle black pepper, garlic powder & add Cardini's Caesar dressing...pictured below....
Go ahead, give it a squirt of lemon juice! Then you can run the rhine in your disposal in the sink & it will give your sink a yummy lemon scent if you run the hot water really good. :)
Here's the dressing....
The kind of lettuce to use. Wash & cut up in bite size pieces after drying....
See, it's like the lettuce gets to jump in a pool of wonderful yellow goodness....
(Side note! Also chop up a little purple onion to add in this mix. I chopped it up pretty small tonight, so you might or might not get to see pic's of that in the grand finale picture).
Here are the yummy croutons to mix in!
Mix away!
Then comment if you make this & let me know how you love it. The mustard & lemon give it a tangy fresh taste & make the caesar dressing come alive! Good thing Josh loves it more than I do because we smell so bad tonight after eating it! HA! I don't care though! I could eat it daily.
And to top it off, my homemade chicken noodle soup.
Ok, I'm done. No more cooking for a long time :)
