Birthday Fun for Kenlee~

Oh the fun we had in Oneonta yesterday. We went to Nana Noval's (Kenlee says Nana Nobel ~ HA!) - she did it up right for these two...bounce house, slip n-slide, good food, good fellowship....we couldn't have asked for a better day for these two. Logan's bday is next weekend, and Kenlee's was actually yesterday. This will be picture overload, but for memories sake...here we go.

We started off birthday morning with cinnamon rolls & turkey bacon, Kenlee's Favorite!
We put two candles in the cinnamon roll that were "HB" for Happy Birthday & she loved that.

Nana Noval made chocolate & pnut butter cupcakes, two of Kenlee's favorites!
GrandDaddy's Bday is the 31st, so we celebrated with he & Logan, too. Logan's is the 5th of next month.
Logan is anti-chocolate so he passed his onto someone else & settled for Nana's wonderful homemade vanilla icecream.
BOUNCE HOUSE was next!! I can't tell you how happy this made Kenlee! That is ALL she wanted for her birthday & Nana provided~!

But the Slip-N-Slide was a pretty good Bday gift as well!!!
Logan shot the BB gun & had the best time hitting his target!

This girl was ALL smiles on her 4th Birthday~ it has made her older & wiser. I love it.
Biggy getting some target practice. He even let his Mom shoot, but she didn't do so well.

Logan had a good time entertaining the girls :) He enjoyed being only man around besides the dad's :)
Josh & his GrandDaddy enjoyed some time together & we all got our bellies full & had a wonderful night. So thankful to God that our girl was born 4 years ago & that we could all celebrate her together.

Party with the fam ~ Part 1

I downloaded our pictures from Kenlee's class party last week & the pictures I took today. Then our camera batteries died. My parents & Josh's Mom came into town & we grilled out on this very HOT sunny & wonderful southern day! Here is a picture of Kenlee's cake from her class party. I got it at Edgar's because it was the same price as Publix & you might as well get a fabulous cake for the same price! Everyone had a good time....
 Kenlee & her buds!
Ms. Alison put a 4 year Bday hat on Kenlee! She loved it!
Yellow cake with buttercream icing. Trust me...it was MUCH better than it looks & I think it looks better than anything I could ever create!
Ladybugs within the flowers. :) So cute.

Ms. Alison was a gift from God. She was so gentle & loving & we couldn't have asked for a better teacher.

Biggy gave Kenlee some rings & some earrings (sticker earrings) & she was as pretty as a princess in them.
Since we had cake last week, I just bought a little cake for the fam. Leah & Alexis from next door were outside while we were grilling, so we invited them over for cake.
JuJu & Nana. I think they are pretty Grandmothers. :)

No time to look up when there is chocolate cake involved.

Our girl had a good Birthday Eve!

Birthday Eve!

My how time has flown. I have a girl turning 4 tomorrow & a boy turning 11 next week. We are gonna party all month long!!
Just look at the difference in 7 years of feet :)

Happy Summer!

Since I last posted, our other computer hard drive crashed. Our friends told us that by the things that happened with all of our stuff being gone & all of our folders and documents saying "empty" ~ so needless to say, we pulled out the old laptop & check out the pic's that I found on here! I love them!

How fitting since our girl turns 4 over the weekend! I will take lots of new pictures & post our events over the weekend. I hope your first day of summer is full of fun & excitement!
PS. I feel like my interview went very well! Hoping to hear back for a second interview soon!
Have a good Friday!

My Little's!

I have a little nervous energy since I have an interview for an amazing opportunity with oncology massage today, so I've been up since Josh left @ 4:30 this morning. :) I've cleaned out some kitchen cabinets, showered, watched the Little Couple (one of my favorite's!!! Reruns are on TLC @ 5 am!), showered and had about 3 cups of coffee! I even did a load of laundry. I will probably be ready for bed at 4 pm today.

We are counting down last days of school & gearing up for a fun summer! Here are some happy kids getting ready for lots of play! Kenlee helped Nana & Papa redecorate their rock border around their flowers, so she decided we needed a border as well. Don't you love it? Her Mom does. :)

PuPpY LoVe

We spent Saturday with friends & it just so happened they had 4 new puppies @ their house. They are American Bulldog puppies. I'm such a sucker for puppy breath!!
There are no other words to describe them, other than PRECIOUS.

 Look at those bellies!!!
 I smooched every.single.one. of them.

I don't know if Logan liked the puppy or the 4 wheeler better, but he had SO much fun!

This was our girl trying to rest up on the way, by the time we came home last night, it was the same idea, just dirtier & smellier :) Hope your weekend was full of fun & good friends!

Last Friday of 5th grade!

This time next week will be summer!
I had to go have lunch with my boy today! He is almost a 6th grader!
He is having a three person spend the night party tonight. It consisted of lots of Nerf, Basketball & FRIED chicken with fruits & veggies. FUN FUN FUN!!! Josh & I have enjoyed watching them outside & talked about living on Lake Logan Martin one day...it's been a good night. Kenlee is high on life with these boys...she just crashed in bed, so I wanted to post really quick.

Can you see any happiness on little sister's face?

Lots of birthday posts in the next week. We will be turning 4, 11 & 34 (x's 2!!).
I have an interview @ UAB that came from GOD (really out of the blue) on Tuesday, so hopefully I will have lots of good things to share next week. It would be doing what I love doing on the palliative care floor ~ only getting paid! Paid is good!!!
Hope your weekend is full of fun!

Bring on the summer!

This 5th (Almost 6th!) grader is very ready for summer to come along! One week from today will be his last day of 5th grade! I can't believe it! In just two & 1/2 weeks he will be 11. Where has the time gone!? He got his hair cut yesterday & looks so handsome. One of my friends is taking their picture tonight @ a park in the next town & I can't wait to see how they turn out! I am sure I will post those soon...
Josh & I switched carseats when we went to my parents house over Mother's Day weekend, so the booster seat was in my car until earlier this week...on the way home from school I would find Kenlee like this.....
Could explain her little mood swings throughout this week. Night before last she was a BEAR. She said things & just acted like someone else had taken over her body. Ever had a night of that with your child? Last night she was as good as could be, so pleasant & kind. She also told me "Mom, these are the most amazing crackers with peanut butter I've ever tasted" ~ makes me think she might be listening to her teachers on the playground or something :)
A few weeks back my Dad had to travel to Sterling Heights, MI - the place where we grew up & he rode through our old neighborhood. I didn't grow up near Eminem on 8 mile, but I did grow up in this fabulous totally 80's house that brings me such joy to focus my eyeballs on .....

It looks old & gross, but I have such WONDERFUL memories growing up here, playing with my close to my heart friend, Kristy, playing kick the can, four square...I LOVE most everything about my childhood in Michigan. But SOOOOO thankful we moved south when I was in the 6th grade. I had a hard time when we first moved here...kids made fun of me because of my northern accent (which is gone now I think), but after about 6 months, it turned out to be wonderful. Those trees in the front yard were 1/3 of that size growing up I think! They look huge now. That was my parents room on top & I think that was my brother's room below them. Jill & I had rooms on the same level as Mom & Dad. We had a basement, too & I remember it flooding sometimes.
This was the entrance to our neighborhood. My Dad took a picture of my elementary school, Hatherly Elementary...and Logan asked me if kids still went there - I told him yes, that it wasn't part of the historical district yet. :) HA! It was there that I watched the shuttle that blew up & I remember it like it was yesterday...and isn't it amazing that we got to watch it again this week? ...... thankfully that take off went smoothly & I grabbed this picture because I thought it was breathtaking....

And last but not least....lantana. I love it & just planted some pink. For some reason it's the only thing that loves to grow around here & I guess I should plant it all over, because this Hudspeth soil loves some lantana.....see..
Hope you have a good Thursday!
