SO proud of our Silent King!

"Once Upon A Mattress" was last night.
SO PROUD of our boy, Logan. He was THE Silent King.
I wanted to cry when I heard people around me saying how great he looked & how cute he was & what a good job he did. He had his Dad & I, Kenlee, Nana, Papa, & JuJu there to cheer him on & I can't tell you how proud I am. The whole choir was amazing ~ those kids are 6th, 7th & 8th graders & they have such a bright future. I'm so happy he's found something he loves & is surrounded by great kids.

Thank you, God, for a profession that I can still see the fun things my kids get to do @ school.
Rodeo Day was today @ Kenlee's school. I have a ton of pictures, but here are just a few to begin. I have a hurry clean job waiting for me before my Mother-In-Law arrives tonight & calls DHR :) It's a mess in the Hudspeth house.

Beans, Beans!

Tonight is Bunco. I wanna WIN BIG!!! WHOO HOOO!
I'm going to try & remember my camera so I can blog about it.
I made yummy 15 Bean Soup for the rest of my family for tonight....

And mile HI cornbread that Josh's Grandfather gave me the recipe to....

I might have had to taste test it when I took it out of the oven...but I can't say for sure.
Why it looks like Apple Crumble, I'll never know, but it tastes as good :)
Oh! Did you know I once read that a bowl of 15 bean soup has more vitamins in it than a multi-vitamin itself?
And Josh's step-mom once told me to throw a carrot in & it will absorb the gas that beans give to men...you better believe I threw a baby carrot in that pot today.

A little De-Stress

This weekend I've tried to just de-stress a little & calm down :)
Friday we had to get Logan & Kenlee some shoes so we went to eat & to JC Penney's who by the way had great prices, lots to choose from & even women's boots for just $15! I didn't buy any since the kiddies needed shoes, but I might get wild & go back to see if they have any size 8's.
Here's what Miss Thang chose,

Navy converse without laces or straps. HA!

Biggy chose some cool Nikes with orange bottoms. His fav color.

I made Pioneer Woman's Steak Bites this morning....

 Simple as Organic Butter in a cast iron skillet...
Heat those bad boys on a hi heat...not for too long though... (Make sure you've drenched them in Kosher Salt & lots o' pepper before you throw them overboard!)

I'm off to take my mascara off from yesterday (how gross can I be?) and start fresh with a shower to take Logan to all of his business meetings today (choir & baseball...all afternoon long until 6:30 tonight). And in the mean time, do some more continuing education tests, laundry & love on my family .....
I can't leave my hottie of a husband out who is gearing up for killing some turkey!

 The more he brings home, the less we have to buy! Bring it on!
