Snacks!

My mother-in-law left a 1/2 opened bottle of her favorite champagne in the fridge, so I've put everyone to sleep including my husband, and I'm gonna have a little glass to wind down. Yes, it's only 7:51 pm...but everyone in the Hudspeth household has been under the weather.  Tonight it is just the right time to relax a little. She even had to buy some champagne glasses since we didn't have any the other evening, but look how pretty it is as I blog :)

I'm gonna be honest & say the desk is currently the only clean thing in our house.
But I'm not gonna concentrate on that because it will drive me to drink more! HA!  I'm not going to pretend I have it all together! Because I far from have it all together. But we are doing the best that we can, and that's all that matters.

I'm Late!

Please tell me you didn't think I was pregnant....because I'm done birthing babies :)
But! I am late a lot lately wherever I go! Friday I was late getting to Kenlee's school (never am), late to pick Biggy up from choir (never am with that either), it's just like I am trying to be 5 places all @ once & time gets the best of me! Ever feel this way?
My best friend, Cheryl, watched Kenlee today since she was a little under the weather....however, I think she could have gone to school today, but she was so excited first thing, and I am so thankful to have a friend that loves my babies. I would have stayed home, but being new to the spa, I didn't want to call in unless she was running a fever or something....so thankful for my best friend that I asked last night & she said "bring her on!!" ~ Kenlee was SOOO happy to be with Cheryl & her dogs, Oliver & Simon. Simon has been having some troubles lately with his health & Kenlee has been genuinely concerned, so it was good for her to spend the day with him :) Cheryl took this of Kenlee & Oliver (AKA Bubby) today....

My Mom & I have both read "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" & we both LOVE!!!
I love Ree's show on Food Network on Saturday mornings @ 9. I'm so excited to not have to work this Saturday so I can watch it. My husband loves me so much, he caught my cold, too...so I'm hoping we'll have a Saturday morning to sleep in a tad bit, then watch her show. I'm sure he'll be better by then.

Did I mention hunting season is officially over for deer tomorrow? Can I say I'm EXCITED!!!
I don't gripe about it anymore (this is my 18th year of loving this hunter), but I will say in all honesty...I get so sick of it. I like it in the beginning, but towards the end, I'm so ready to have my husband back during the days on Saturday and frankly, I just get sick of putting projects aside. But it's my life as a wife of a hunter, so no use in complaining. I knew it when I married that blue eyed boy 14 years ago.

I forgot to show you the adorable bags I got my nieces for Christmas from a little place in Alabaster called "Monograms & More" ~ Do you love them like I do?

Is adorably a word?! I think the girls loved them.

Let me just tell you...Biggy (Logan) got this Air Hog thing for Christmas. It's an airplane that can video & take pictures from the sky. The video's he's gotten are amazing, but I had to post some of his pictures. This thing is AMAZING.

I'm proud of my boy for figuring it out :) His mother sure couldn't.

Ready for Wellness!

Now my babies are croupy!  A true restful Sunday is what we'll do today!
Here they are getting their throats checked!

We grilled out last night & they had fun ....I'm praying Kenlee's tonsils don't misbehave because of being outside though..
Kenlee has her first loose tooth! She is trying to pull it herself! I keep telling her to leave it alone & let it do its own thing!
Logan had baseball observation yesterday for city ball & then his Dad took him to Game Stop, they ran some errands & had a fun day. It's the last weekend of hunting season, but with Logan's cough, he couldn't be out in the wind all day waiting on deer.

I got my hair highlighted & here's the before & after! I look a little homeless before!
I'm bad about plopping my hair on top of my head....I guess you could call me the "unfancy Nancy"

 And then after I saw Britany, my hair was so happy!!!!

On a random thought...I saw this neat mason jar light fixture...it was almost $500, but isn't it kind of cool?!
Not $500 cool, though. Our kitchen light fixture has a short, so I was starting to get some ideas for when we change it out. This is neat, I'm just not sure what would be neat up there. Nothing that expensive, for sure!

My dear friend, Kristy, sent them some goodies in the mail this Friday & here is Kenlee's posing with hers!! Logan loved his, too....his favorite part was an Itunes giftcard. He was @ choir practice when the box came in the mail.

For the love! I have had a lovely day, meeting my parents at the Galleria, seeing my bestie & her sweet girl there, and the kiddies being so good this afternoon as we kind of veg out & wind down before the new week. I hope your weekend has been relaxing, too!
I got Ree Drummond's "Black Heels to Tractor Wheels" on Friday from winning an auction on Ebay ( I actually won 2, but that is two I can pass around to my family & friends) & had it finished by 2:30 am last night. I started yesterday & after we went to bed got back up due to coughing & I couldn't put it down. A fabulous love story...and I finished it & gave it to my Mom to read today. I adore her love story... It's a must read....

 Meeting Nana & Papa was the icing on the cake today. Plus we saw Cheryl & Allie there, so that made the trip even more fun! Show my bestie some love on her blog!

 Bon Bon (my Mom) & I did some bra shopping, which I didn't love, but she promised me it would make me feel better & boy was I wrong about my size. With me, all heck has broken loose after the age of 30. Looking in the mirror @ almost 35 was a rude awakening for me today :) 
Papa & Biggy made it through the Lego store, and being a sweet, unselfish brother that he is, he found a LEGO for Kenlee! The one he wants was a little pricey, so he figured he would wait. He was trying to spend his Discover gift card Auntie Jill gave him, but just didn't find the perfect thing. But, he knew he would have to put the Lego together & they have had fun doing that this afternoon. Here they are mid-build of the Lego having a late afternoon snack of red pepper, cuties & some banana. I will post of the finished Lego tomorrow. :)

 Today we signed Biggy up for Spring baseball & they got a little Starbucks treat afterwards. Yummy!
Kenlee gets a carmel apple spice with no WHOOPED cream as Biggy used to call it...and Biggy gets a Vanilla Frap with no WHOOPED cream.

Today I made an old trusty that I love & I want to make when it's my month to have BUNCO at the Hudspeth House....
Chicken Salad with purple grapes, Kraft Mayo & pecan pieces all mixed up in Fillo Dough mini's!!!

Yummy! You can even change it up & instead of grapes & pecans, just sweet pickles chopped up or use, mayo, raisins & walnuts! Your choice! Make them how you like them! Happy Saturday to you!

FIRST!!!! Happy 15 year anniversary to my SISTOR & her HUSBAND!!!
I hope you have the most wonderful night out to eat :) Without you two, we wouldn't have had our little Myrtle & I am so very thankful for your lovie of a union to create the snazziest 13 year old niece that I own. Well, maybe I don't own her. :)

Kenlee has been requesting pizza a lot lately...and she needs to gain a little lbs if you ask her mother, so here is what our non-dairy side looks like next to our cheesy mess! She eats it up, too. I will make one everyday of life if she'll gobble it up!

Logan is the Silent King in his "Once Upon a Mattress" production he will be in during mid March. Last night we had a great meeting with the teacher & other parents & I'm so excited he's doing this. I'm a proud Mom!

I'm off to bathe Miss Priss. We have to run a few errands when her brother & Dad get home & she smells a little bit like a puppy.

A cookie for you!

Bud's Best Cookies was a REALLY fun field trip. The factory is amazing, owned by a christian family in Birmingham, HUGE & they make over 1 million cookies a day! It is a HUGE assembly line of robots, machines & even the boxes are folded & sealed by a machine to be shipped to your store. These cookies are never touched by human hands until you open the bag!
