Josh Junior.

All I see when I look at this child is her Daddy's face. I love it.
I always thought Logan looked like Josh, but as he gets older, he resembles my face when I was his age. Isn't it fun to see what the blessing of two people look like?

Bye Bye Bottle.

Judge me if you must.

Yes, my 3 year old enjoys a bottle. :) Until last Wednesday that is...September the 15th. The apple didn't fall far from the tree, I took one until I was almost 4! My blog, might as well be honest. :) My neice did, too. I guess we just love comforting our kids with what they love & I was surely comforted. We went to the dentist & he said she has a cross bite...he asked if she took a paci, "no" he asked if she sucked her thumb, "no" ~ he didn't ask if she took a bottle, because who let's their 3.5 year old take a bottle still? ME!!!! I do! I do! But! She had a cavity & that was my way to tell her that her bottle is giving her tooth a little bug called a cavity, so we can't do the bottle anymore. Cold turkey, that was it. She's asked probably 5 times for one in a week, with a tiny little meltdown, but ok after I gave her a tiny bottle of water. I'm amazed. Thank you, God. And I thank myself for all the applejuice in a bottle that has given her a cavity (even diluted!!) ~ok, maybe a few sweets here & there...but my girl can't have dairy - no icecream, no yogurt, no pudding, so she has her little coconut milk bars & a skittle here & there to curve her craving.

I've gathered a few pic's I could find of our bottle...Evenflo & Medela have been a good friend to us, through breastpumping for a year, trying whole milk, applejuice, a true friend indeed. I'm pretty sure our bottle days are over until we have grandbabies :)

I'm just thankful for a healthy girl ~ a healthy, big girl. :) Without a bottle.

In my world through rose colored glasses....

In my own little world, the best days are when it's just the 4 of us together, making the best memories, just us, enjoying each other. That is what we did this weekend & it was AMAZINGLY peaceful, breathtaking, and such a blessing. We took the kids to Josh's hunting land, then to his Grandfather's house so we could ride the 4 wheeler (don't worry, we didn't go faster than 5 MPH + we forgot to bring the helmets, so that was the reasoning behind the flat land & going slow. :)

These two had so much fun & we vowed to them to one day live on land like this & let them enjoy the wildlife like they deserve. Josh's grandfather would let us build a house there tomorrow, it's just a bad school district, so for now, we'll stay put...but one day (God willing!!) I will be posting from our log cabin in the country or our tiny log cabin on Logan Martin Lake. :) Yes, I still have my rose colored glasses on...and I intend to keep them on until we get there! HA!

New & Old Friends

Sorry this is tiny! Cheryl took this of Josh & his girl! Taking a skate break @ Jackson's party!

Two handsome boys. Jackson & Logan working up a sweat & skating the night away.

Cheryl took Kenlee out first & she really had fun. She loved skating & the games there!
Are these tiny skates precious or what!?

Cheryl taking Kenlee out for the first time! It's so dark & blurry thanks to yours truely!
We gathered @ the skating rink on Friday to celebrate our friend, Jackson's, birthday!! It was so much fun & Kenlee even skated! What a great workout, Cheryl & I decided we need to do this a lot, it's fun, get to boogie to some funky music & get great exercise! Here are a few pictures (which are awful - I didn't know which setting was best in the dark to put the camera on - I need lessons).
We have new neighbors that are from GOD!! Two little girls ~ 4 & 6 & they are over today playing while Josh took Logan to Talladega to hunt dove. They are from Indiana which is where I was born & my whole family actually was born there. They are so sweet, making their yard look fantastic, the girls are so much fun for Kenlee ~ it's just a great thing!! Here are the girls playing in Kenlee's room while I'm washing sheets, cleaning up the kitchen & basically cleaning up for the cleaning lady to come on MONDAY!!! We are trading out, massage for cleaning like I posted the other day! YEA!!! So excited about this. My shower is so excited to be extra shiny.

So tip your hat this weekend to old & new friends! Hope you have a great one!

Just a few things....

I am enjoying a little quiet while Kenlee is napping & Logan is riding his bike so I wanted to share a few things...I have made 2 new recipes this week from publix.com/aprons - chicken primavera with parmesan pasta & honey chicken with vanilla basmati rice. LOVE them both...Josh liked the second one better, but I think I loved the first one a little more than the second. You should go to that website & look around. The honey chicken called for drizzling honey after you pan fry the chicken in a ginger paste & luckily, Kenlee's school has a farmer's market every Thursday & I was able to get some local honey & it was DELISH! I am on a new dish spree & it's fun to try new things & see how my littles & Josh like them. I am in a creative mode :)

I visited my friend, Holley, today that is pregnant with twin girls :) Pray for those 2 & Mommy as they make their debut into this world. It was so much fun ~ just being comfy & enjoying each other's company. She is doing a great job being prego & each girl weighs 6 lbs. She is healthy, babies are healthy, and all is well. :) Thankful for that. Thank you for calling, Holley ~ it was so good to catch up & I really enjoyed our time!

As I am typing I hear Logan outside calling up some sort of bird. He has hunting fever, just like his father - they are on a mission to hunt dove - they've killed a few this season so far & are planning on killing more. I love that they spend this quality time together, but I plan on picking up some chicken or something for Kenlee & I to nibble on while they eat their wild prey. :) I'm sure the neighbors love his crow calling. He's a good boy & I love him.

I know this is a hodge podge of an email, but I wanted to share this. My sister & brother-in-law's company evicts people from homes after non payment. My brother-in-law took this picture of the GUY's nails as he was evicting. I'm not sure - but maybe he used these for a purpose? Would you love to know his secret to stong nails?

I've added more things to my list of ebay sales & here are a few of my current items. I am addicted & I love watching people bid. It's so much fun and a great way to earn extra money.

So happy Friday eve to all of you. I'm sure I will post away over the weekend.

1st Teeth Cleaning!

Here are a few shots from today...The ladies there probably thought I was nuts, but I'm not so great keeping things WRITTEN in Kenlee's baby book, so this is my chance to keep up with it!

I may not be on the ball with the timing of the teeth cleaning, but Miss Thang had her teeth cleaned for the very first time this morning & Biggy went too, so they had a good time together. We tried a new dentist today & all went well - a great office with SO many toys & a really neat play area, precious ladies that cleaned their teeth, and a really nice Dr. And a partridge in a pear tree. :)

Little does Logan know....I have every single one of his teeth he has lost (which is all of them) minus one that fell down the drain when we were trying to clean the blood off. I will do the same for Kenlee ~ I'm just a tad obsessive, I even have their umbilical cords. I can't let go, can you tell? HA!
Logan got a little "talking to" about his brushing with his braces. It's so hard to keep up ~ but the hygenist was SO ON MY SIDE!!! She told him his Mom wasn't nagging at him about brushing all of the time, that we've invested a lot of mooolah into those pearls & it's cool for him to take really good care of them. Especially if he wants to be a dentist -
I'm going next week, so I better get off of this computer & go floss!

Sometimes....

On a day I needed a pick-me-up, a great friend had an idea to go to Target together...that is just what I needed. I think I need this weekly from now on. I tend to feel guilty if I buy something new or do something for myself, do you ever feel that way? Not anymore, I feel that to give to others, you need to do a few things that make you HAPPY, that way you get an even bigger joy out of doing things for others. I had a client today that felt guilty for coming to get a massage - I told her I know what she means. She is a mother of 3, and a homeschool mother at that...she DESERVES to have just one hour to herself to relax & be a better mother & teacher.
So Cheryl, thank you for helping me get away, to have a couple hours of girlfriend time & to enjoy a great bargain for our new room. Just another thing to add to my "out with the old, in with the new list" ~ I needed this more than you & I know!!
Here is what we found on MAJOR SALE!!! It is so comfy, so warm & just what we needed in our room! I can't wait to put up more accessories & go back & get the lamp!

Simple to most, but we have had a fancy black, gold & red comforter that my sweet mother in law had made when we moved here (we've used it for 7 yrs.)but it was just time to renew & that other one was so heavy we had to use a down comforter & fold the other down every night b/c it was so big & bulky.

I am also waiting on a girl now to come over & assess our house so we can trade out massage for house cleaning!! I am so excited I could cry!!! It is simple things like that in life that make me a happy Momma - it stresses me out to clean when I get home & cook - I know it probably shouldn't but I confess...it does. :)
So if you are a mom, stop & enjoy something that you really love. :)

WeekEnd WrapUp

We spent some much needed time with my parents over the weekend & loved every minute of it. I took this picture from my mom of my neice, Jordyn, and wanted to share it. We live far apart from each other & I wish we lived closer. I would LOVE to go to her pageants & root her on!! She is so beautiful!
I only wish I was as tall as she is :) She is only 13!!

I'm having a hard time with the way blogger inserts pictures now. I wonder what I'm doing wrong?! :) I'm spacing it out on the screen I type on, but the letters want to be right next to the pictures when I preview it?!

Anyway, a busy week is ahead & I hope yours is full of fun!!

Happy Birthday John & Jill!!

Here they are just a few years ago :)

My brother & sister turn 44 today! They are 4 minutes apart in age!

My Mom didn't know she was having twins until after my brother came out. Talk about a shocker. They weighed 4.8 lbs & 4.9 lbs. She just thought she had a really long baby. Bon Bon is a true woman if there ever was one.

Here is my sister & Dad - he has a knife because he was about to carve a turkey :)Here is my brother & Dad - can you tell they are twins (John & Jill - not John & Dad)? If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times...my Mom used to say "Nancy, you look more like your brother's twin than Jill" - I only wish I was blessed with his height.

I adore them both & growing up it was like I had 2 sets of parents. I loved every minute of it. My brother & sister have always spoiled me, always listened to me, & I vow to take care of them when they are old, because after all, they are a lot older than me :) HEE!
Happy Birthday to two people that make me happy & always make me laugh & think on the positive side :) I love you both & I don't know how I got so lucky to be your little sister.

Ebay

I confess. I have a secret love on the side. I have done it almost 150 times.
I have a slight obsession with buying & selling things on ebay.
I have sold almost 150 items.
I purchased 5 pair of Gap jeans for Logan last week on Ebay & with shipping & the jeans (all from different sellers) it was $30.95. You couldn't buy one pair of those in the store for that amount I don't think. All in almost perfect condition, no stains or rips.
I have paid for school supplies, target trips, new oil for massaging, many o' items for this little habit! I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!!!
What about you? Do you like buying or selling on ebay & what kind of items do you look for?

So bad, I can't even show you.

Our Garage.
It was AWFUL - AWFUL I tell you. It was a garage sale gone bad, a mess of hodge podge, old stuff that needed OUT! That's the way our life is lately, out with the old & in with the new & I LOVE IT!!!

Here it is....gone good. :)

We swept, dusted, Josh even got the blower out & fixed it right up. There was mouse droppings, dead roaches, you name it, and it was GROSS. I have to be honest! I slept sooo good last night knowing all of our belongings were in place! Now if I can only get motivated to get inside the house! Organization is not one of my strong points. :) But now every vehicle is parked in the right spot, whether it be a Radio Flyer, a horse, or a car, it's all right where it needs to be.

This weekend we cooked... decided we wanted homemade biscuits, so we tried it out. Leave it to me to take pictures before, but not after. They were delish & look how pretty they turned out before! I bought blackberry preserves @ the Farmer's Market @ Kenlee's Church School - and they were good on these puppies! (Or cathead's as my husband referred to them).

I made a new roast that was spicy as all get out - but I will post the recipe soon. I liked it & I think it has helped my sinus issue :)

On a sweet note, this boy has been awfully good & spent a lot of time inside this weekend ( which surely doesn't have anything to do with my sinus issues) ~ he's Kenlee's buddy that is FOR SURE!

A little under the weather....

I am a little guilty of taking care of other's & not taking care of myself!! I usually don't get sick, but Friday it hit me pretty hard ~stuffy head, coughing, yucky nose, etc. I was supposed to work yesterday & didn't get to, but I've rescheduled everyone for tomorrow afternoon, so I hope my body is on board with that plan :)
Logan & Josh went dove hunting yesterday! LOGAN killed his first (not ONE, but TWO!!) and was SOOO excited. They brought them home to grill later today & will go back this afternoon to see if they can get more. I know it's sad, but they love it, we eat it & I would rather it be used for food than the birds running into a window or a plane :) I'm going to send the camera today so they can get some action shots.
Let the hunting season begin!!

I have put lots of new items on Ebay & even sold a pair of Logan's waterproof boots from hunting last year for $39! I love it! My sweet friend, Cheryl, let us bring some stuff that was in our garage to her garage sale & she was able to sell some things for us. In life it feels so good to get "out with the old, in with the new!!" Next I want to redo our bedroom & get new couches - but all good things come to those who wait :) Not a necessity by all means, but it's fun for a girl to redo.
Sorry this is picture-less, but maybe there will be some to post by tomorrow!! It's BEAUTIFUL weather here, so we are going outside to enjoy it & get some Vitamin D to get well. Hope you are enjoying your long weekend!
