Playtime before the Storm...

We've spent the afternoon outside because the weathermen here in Birmingham are saying tonight's gonna be pretty nasty. I'm hoping they are building it up & it won't be so bad...like they do when it's SUPPOSED to snow.
I took a few action shots of Miss Thing as she was out & about ... Logan did a little riding & checked out some bugs.
Tomorrow (Saturday) is opening season of baseball! I guess we will see what the weather turns out like to see if we have pictures & the first game as planned. I'm hoping they get to play b/c I really do love watching Logan catch. I'm hoping we have family there because Kenlee won't sit still & it's hard to keep an eye on both of our little offspring. She seems to cry her loudest if we don't let her climb the bleechers (is that how you spell that?) & everyone looks at us like "can't you control such a little thing?" They don't realize how strong willed our LITTLE THING is. :)

A hidden treasure...

Logan is in a class at school that they call GRC. It's Gifted Resource Center - he goes for two hours each week & through this program they are doing research on a swamp here in Alabaster called Ebenezer Swamp with the University of Montevallo. This has been really neat for Logan & the kids involved because they get to go to the swamp & test the water, look for beaver dams, they look for blue herron's, water bugs, etc... They get to see nature in a different way than they normally do when they are outside playing. He discovered a hidden treasure. A little United Methodist Church off of a dirt road that is pretty much hidden and you can't see it from the road. We stopped & took some pictures & plan on attending one Sunday so he can check it out since it's so close to the swamp. I love his curiosity. It was built in 1818 & reminds me a lot of the church Josh & I attended when we dated and went with his Dad & Noval.
What about you, do you know of any hidden treasures?

Spring Break so far...

If I had 10 fun things to do each day, that would make my child the happiest kid ever. Thankfully, we've stayed busy this week & he has said several times that it's the best spring break he's ever had! (Out of 4 of them!) Turkey hunting two days with Dad, spending the night @ Nana & Papa's, field trip to the laundry mat since our washer wasn't delivered until yesterday ( he loved this - it cracked me up), spending the day with Auntie Kim fishing, feeding horses & chickens at a farm, going to Strike Fore with Kim, Mom & Kenlee...it's been a good week.
I was only along for one of the fun things, so I took some pictures.
What about you, have you had any fun during spring break?

We've got a catcher on our hands!

Finally! Logan found the position that he loves in baseball. Tonight was the first time I've seen him play with total confidence & he made his Momma proud! He was a natural at it and caught almost every ball that came towards him.
I'm not a mom that pushes sports, I want him to play whatever he wants to try ~ but I know the importance of team sports & I'm really glad he is where he is comfortable.
And Miss Priss had a great time cheering her brother on. :)

Katie is going home today!

Thank you, God! Katie's oxygen is rising & there is a light ahead! She gets to come home today & rest comfortably. I think the Dr's have determined this was a case of acute bronchitis, but whatever it is/was, we are so thankful that it is going away! Her oxygen was 94 a little while ago without wearing oxygen, that is wonderful!
Get well soon, my little Myrtle. Mimi will be there to see you soon! I will massage your feet & get you whatever you need!
LOVE YOU!!!

Pray for our Myrtle!

Katie is in the hospital (since yesterday)~ she is my second born neice & has called me "Mimi" since she could talk, so I had to name her something that started with an "M" too! Her oxygen has been low & so they are giving her breathing treatments & steroids & monitoring her. They are doing all sorts of blood testing & lung xrays (the one's last night didn't show any pneumonia ~ Thank you Lord!) She won't get to go home today since her oxygen has been in the 80's again. Please pray with me that she will maintain oxygen over 90 tomorrow & that it will stay up.
Here are just a few pic's of my little Myrtle. Mimi loves you!!!

Our poor washing machine....

I could stress out about this, but in the whole big picture, having a washing machine die isn't the end of the world. I do realize the things I take for granted & I am officially forever so thankful for a washing machine. I've been comparing prices/looking at rebates/and studying customer reviews to see which brand & where we should shop.
I have about 12 sets of massage sheets to wash & lots of clothes ~ but it is helping me organize everything. What could be a bad situation, is actually helping me get our house where it needs to be in the laundry department!
Logan is excited & said this morning that when we get home from school today, "SPRING BREAK OFFICIALLY BEGINS! Yipeeee!
Hoping to create fun pictures & posts for week. Until then.....

A new blue...

I needed a project for some reason in my life...so I decided to tackle the hall bathroom. We still have to hang decor in there...but I'm just lovin' this blue curtain. So come on over & use our new bathroom!
Do you have any projects in the works?

When you can't dig it up by yourself...

I bet everyone was outside working in their yard today. I loved every minute of it! We have a small bush that has never really been healthy & today I was in the mood to just dig it out. Little did I know that the roots didn't want to leave their comfy dirt home.
So Josh & Logan rigged it up where we just pulled it out with a little help from the ol' Chevy! I will need to find a new plant for that hole.
Kenlee took a 3 hour nap while we worked in the yard!!

Stay tuned for another project that my husband stayed up until 1:00 this morning painting. :) He's a trooper!

Guess who's coming to the Hudspeth house tonight?

We've worked on this tooth for about an hour tonight. Logan would not even think of going to sleep until this baby was OUT. I could see the panic on his face & I told him that we would stay up as late as we needed to so that we could get it out...even if I had to check him into school in the morning. Josh & Kenlee cheered us on while Logan & I wiggled it & moved it with a ice cold wash cloth.
SUCCESS!!! I just love my boy!

Video Test...

Not sure if I know how to download a video (I know...it's pitiful). I'm going to try...

Yes!!

What a fun morning in the South!
