 Such a fun night! We had two very happy kids in the Hudspeth household! Josh & I had a good time, too!!

Good Friends = Good Times!

Thursday night was such a treat. I went to eat with two precious people to a neat Mexican restaurant @ the Summit & it was so good to just be away with girls for a few hours! As a mother ~ how often do we treat ourselves to a selfish little evening with friends? I know I don't ~ but it's good to do every now & then!

 That chicken thing in the top center of the plate was my favorite. I forgot what it is, maybe a tostada? But it was YUMMY! Look how cute the little taco was!

Yum! Why I didn't have someone take our picture, I'll never know. We went into several shops around the restaurant & it was fun to look around! Next time I hope we all have an unlimited amount of money to spend!! :) Swoozie's is my new favorite store...I can do without monogramming, but the Christmas decor & all of the stationary made me sooooo happy & in the mood to decorate for the wonderful holiday season! Great food and a drink later, we just enjoyed our time out & about. Except Cheryl's food had a chicken neck or something gross in it, but it gave us a good laugh & all we really needed was the chips & salsa anyway, because they were SOOOO YUMMMYYYY.

So here is to good times with good friends! People come & go in our lives, but we should live every minute to the fullest & celebrate with the people we care about.

Halloween @ School!

I just adore Kenlee's class & she has SUCH a good teacher. You can honestly tell she cares so much about their learning, knowing they are loved, teaching them responsibility & having so much fun. I got to watch their Halloween Parade today & bring her class pizza ~ which was the highlight of my day.
I feel like I have more pic's of Kenlee than Logan on here these days, but I guess that is what happens when you have older kids & younger kids at the same time! He had a blast yesterday & we are going to have a fun weekend ~ he has a school dance tonight & a little spend the night shin-dig, so I'm sure I'll be taking pic's.
Back to K's school though...

It was so much fun to put faces with names. Since we live away from the school, I don't know many of the parents other than seeing them in carpool line or special events like this! I loved it & can't wait to help out at their Thanksgiving party.

Calloway Gardens! ....

Today this boy & his JuJu are in Georgia @ Calloway Gardens on a field trip! I saw them off @ 5:20 this morning to be at the school between 5:30 & 5:45~ I'm still high from the coffee I drank at that hour :) As we walked outside I saw a complete party in our garage...it consisted of a frog, a HUGE spider & a wood roach. Great. They must think the Hudspeth house is the place to be in the wiiii hours of the morning. I sent Logan off with a Fuji disposable camera, so hopefully they will get some pictures...I know they are having fun!

Miss Thang has a new favorite pair of shoes. No matter what outfit, these are the shoes that match she says. She is funny these days...yesterday they had a carnival @ school & she told me that they had a vegtable stand setup for them & I asked her what was there...she said popCORN & candyCORN. So I told her she got her veggies in for the day :) She wore a cute little turtle neck (black) with some tights & a cute pumpkin skirt that you can't see since her legs were crossed, but the BLUE shoes were a must. She is going to be a princess tomorrow for their Halloween parade @ school and I'm already assuming that her royalty will be wearing these little jewels! I love that she has her own little sense of what she wants already.

Sunday ~

It's been a pretty lazy weekend due to a little under the weather boy...
Although the weather is like summer all over again here in the South!
He has been pretty allergy like & coughing all week long, so I broke down & took him to the Dr. today because a week of homeopathic goodies just wasn't getting it...I felt like it was time to be seen because he has a week full of fun-ness that needs to be had coming up :) A field trip to Calloway Gardens, a Halloween dance (they call it a Jamm) & a few buddies sleeping over, so I felt like I needed to make sure it wasn't bacterial.
I took him to lunch to meet a friend & his Mom & that made him a happy kid. Kenlee had a date with her Daddy today & next Thursday evening as I go to dinner with some friends & I am so looking forward to it!

My husband has turned into Paula Deen today (with a beard), and made us a yummy Southern meal that I am smelling right now & it makes my nose happy. Roast with potatoes & carrots, butter beans & homemade cornbread (WITH CRISCO) ~ my arteries are cringing, but it smells oh so good.

Feed a cold, starve a fever, right?

Then my parents called & they were at Top O' the River in Anniston, which made Josh & I awfully jealous...but I think his meal will be just as good. Fried dill pickles, cornbread & catfish would make us pretty happy too, though. :)

Fall & Bedding

Every mom wants to take some good fall photo's of her Little's....Do you love our skeleton we put in the inside of a Christmas wreath, but wrapped lots of orange lights around it & at night it looks cute. He even has his legs crossed :) We aren't a gothic little family, we just somehow ended up with him from a relative, so might as well put him to use.

It doesn't always go as planned...

But sometimes it does :)

I still don't know a thing about taking pictures, which setting to use, or where to let them stand...oh well. I love those smiles, shaded or not :)

Now! BIG GIRL BEDDING!!!

I've been looking & wanted something to keep K warm but still go with the fabulous bedskirt & window treatments my Mother-In-Law made when she was a baby. Her bedding was chocolate & pink, it was precious...but I'm kind of ready to branch out & put other colors in her room other than just pink & brown. She loved the owls, so this is what we found...it even came with a precious sheet set in the pack!

Isn't it amazing how much kids can change in just 3 years? Simply God's gift to us to be able to watch them grow! Happy Fall! We are loving this weather in the South!
