Surviving...

I have quite a few massage clients that are cancer survivors or know of someone that cancer has stricken. My sister had sent me an email that hit me in the face (again)~ I say "again" because the chiropractor that I work with for the past 3 years has been telling her patients this same information over & over and I knew she knew what she was talking about all along. I guess seeing it in front of my face has hit me stronger than her telling me.
Just a few facts:
Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.
CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame
and it is harmful.
A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts.
Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or seasalt.

***(Jessica has preached on & on about seasalt & coconut oil - she says that is the safest type of oil to cook with)***

Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved. (Goats milk is safe - we Hudspeth's just can't enjoy the taste!)

Just pictures...

While Josh & I were battling it out on the Wii last night with Kenlee as our Cheerleader - Logan being the well rounded little man he is was going to the symphony with Nana & Papa. Look how handsome our boy looks! And my parents look great, too!

This time last year...

I was looking through pictures from January of last year & found these. Oh how my son wishes this weekend would look like this again. All he wants to do is go snowboarding. I grew up in the snow & just didn't appreciate it I guess. It was so cold in Michigan if we were out too long, my hands would be so numb...even with gloves on.
What about you, are you wishing for a little snow?

Don't you love it...

When your kids play good together & get along? It makes me miss my sister & brother so much! I'm so glad we all got along growing up...and I'm glad Kenlee & Logan love each other like John, Jill & I do!

Just what the Dr. ordered, I'm sure....

I don't normally feed Kenlee chocolate, but instead of a sugar free popcicle, this is what she insisted on having from the freezer. I know it made her feel better, because chocolate usually makes her Mom feel better! (Logan is totally grossed out by his sister here - he DOES NOT like chocolate & can't believe she's touching it.)

Flat tire & croupy cough...

Logan & Kenlee have been a tad under the weather. So this morning we go outside to start both of the cars (Josh was going to drop his truck off @ work & go to Kenlee's Dr's appt with me - Logan had already been earlier this week) and his truck was sitting there on a slant. Yep, flat as a pancake. I'm extra thankful this didn't happen while driving.
When was the last time your tire was flat?

Wii, Wii, Wii, all the way home.

We've had a great weekend. Nana & Papa came over & Logan played a great basketball game! They won & all the kids were so proud of themselves, as they should be!
Last night we went to the O'Connell's house for a great dinner & some Wii competition. Logan was high on life. Daddy, Uncle Dustin & himself ~ battling it out for the gold. His only complaint was that he couldn't stay longer. :)
Kenlee & Addie Kate had a great time together & we even dressed them alike hoping to get a good shot, but they were too busy for Holley & I.
What about you? Did you have some good times this weekend with some great friends?

Kenlee picked a pepper

Logan grew some green peppers, tomatoes, watermelon & cucumbers this past summer. Some of the green peppers are still growing since we brought them in the garage, but we had a little thief take one off the vine. :)

Happy 10th Birthday MYRTLE!!!!

I saw you make your way into this world ~ I got to be in the room with your Mommy & Daddy when you were born. (Scared me to death!) I cried like a baby the first time Josh & I babysat you because you cried the whole time. (Thankfully Josh didn't meltdown like I did)I got to go to the hospital with you when you burned your hand after touching the stove. I used to watch you do gymnastics with one bootie cheek hanging out of your leotard.
You & I will always be Mimi & Myrtle. I miss living close to you & seeing you all the time like when we lived in Anniston, but you know I will always be a phonecall away. When you go to U of AL, you can live with Mimi & Josh.
Happy Birthday Katie Lee Howell!! We love you!
