This year in a nutshell (2009)

Logan & Kenlee!!! Look how much you've grown this year!!

In less than 2 1/2 hours, I will have a almost 10 year old & almost 3 year old!
I am going to try & do things better this year...like manage my time, clean more, spend more quality time with people I love, pray more, encourage more, be more positive, walk more, make better decisions, read more, cook healthy foods, I just love starting fresh with the new year. I don't want to spend my year stressing, I just want to enjoy life.

I'm really thankful to God for 2009 ~ here are my babies in pictures....

I am thankful I have this to read & know that whatever circumstance passes us by, we will be just where we need to be in life & in God's plan for us.

Psalm 121:1-2, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth."
God Bless You & your families this year!!

Cousin Katie....

Is here! Let the fun begin!!!
Tonight has been rainy here...so we stayed in & made (tried to make) a gingerbread house. They had fun even though they never managed to get it to stay up.
Katie's working on a school project - a little collage out of a shoebox that represents school in the 1600's. Logan thinks he can build a podium & benches - evidentally just the guys went to school, the ladies stayed home & learned to cook, clean, take care of their babies, etc. Then somehow Logan got into what DNA meant & rambled off the exact pronounciation of it & told Katie & I what it meant. We girls then decided it was time to build a fort. :) I'm thankful he's smarter than I am! HA!
Here's a little recap of our first night...we are so thankful Auntie Jill & Uncle Shang let her come!

Turning the house into a cookie & decorating it!!

Being Silly!

I kept giving Kenlee turkey sticks to counteract the sugar :)

A little Howell/Hudspeth teamwork.

Kenlee opened the cutest gifts from Katie & her parents. This was a cookie set for her little kitchen. It was by Melissa & Doug & it's SOOO cute. Jill always finds the cutest things for her. And they got her some PRECIOUS outfits.

See, Mom! Mimi makes me brush my teeth!!

Hard to believe Katie will be 11 in just 3 days.

In the middle of telling us like it is...

They let Kenlee decorate her own Christmas tree... I think she did a great job!

Happy New Year's Eve tomorrow!

A late post, 4:30 am...

Aren't you excited when you get a Snuggie & a guitar for Rock Band?!
Little sister was asleep, so we kept it quiet, but this boy was a happy kid this early!

This was my favorite gift, Logan got it for me at his Christmas workshop @ school...he surprised me. I love it!

Then when Miss Thang woke up...(8:45ish)

I adore this bedhead!!!

Family fun at the Brown's....

I loved watching Logan have fun with his cousins this weekend & watching Kenlee entertain my brother. Although, most of the time I didn't see Logan because he & Cameron were entertaining themselves. I just love my family & the way they love our little's!!

Here we are posing for Cameron, he was our photographer for this one. Kenlee loved sitting on Uncle Johnny's lap.

My Sister-In-Law, Shelly, and my parents.
I don't think Shelly has ever taken a bad picture in her life!!

Logan & Cameron...they are about 3 months apart in age. I think Cameron looks like my brother, John, when he was little.

Jordyn & Papa...

Jordyn, Mom & I at the end of a fun filled day. I'm looking awfully tired here. :)

Papa took this one of our little family.

We got to go to Top Of The River...that is always fun & great food...and I went by my old high school, the house where I grew up, mine & Josh's first townhouse, my sister's first house they brought Katie home to (I'll post all of these later..I know you'll want to see, Jill) Even though I go to Oxford, I just don't make it out to Saks a lot, and I wanted to see how our old neighborhood looked. Everyone I knew wasn't home...I looked for cars :) It would have been nice to visit with everyone, but maybe we can go back soon.
We were just missing cousin Katie...she & her Mom & Dad all ended up with a stomach bug this weekend, not to mention a couple weeks back they buried my brother-in-law's mom...so it has been a rough couple weeks for them. I think their immune systems are just shot!! But! We are going to get Katie later in the week, and that will be loads of fun having her with us!!

Tonight I got to visit with my dear friend, Holley, which was a treat because we can't get our schedules together lately. It's just been a good time to catch up & spend time with people we love. That's one of my goal's for 2010...to spend quality time with people I love. I can feel God working on my heart & trying to tell me something, I want to just sit back & listen.

~Hope your weekend was full of good memories!
