Great Christmas Recipes!

I'm 36 and I made my first pecan pie ever! It was delish, so I'm going to share the recipe I used!

1 Cup light Karo Corn Syrup
3 eggs
1 Cup sugar
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. pecans
1 9 inch pie crust (called for deep dish, but I used Marie Callendar's regular & it was wonderful!)

It settled just right & tasted divine!

NEXT! I made my first breakfast casserole! I'm not a huge bread in the casserole type of fan, so I found a recipe I thought we would like (minus Kenlee, she had her ezekiel bread with apple butter & bacon - her fav right now)

4-6 Hashbrown Patties (These are in a little sleeve in the frozen section by the french fries!)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Crumbled Jimmy Dean sausage (I used hot, might use mild next time, but great if you like spice!!)
chopped yellow onion (I used 1/3 of an onion, use as much as you would like!)
bacon (I used Hormel bacon bits (50% less fat kind) and it worked beautifully!
1 1/2 cup milk
4 eggs
calls for cajun seasoning, I used a TINY bit of cayenne pepper instead.
salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees! Spray 9 x 9 dish. Layer dish in the order of ingredients, except add eggs, milk & spices together. Pour over top slowly. Bake for 45 min to 1 hour. Set for a few minutes before slicing! DELISH!

Happy December!

I've been a busy little BEE this December! Next week will end school for this year until January! I love it when my babies can sleep in!!!
Kenlee will miss her art class while on her break! She has enjoyed it so much & I am thankful for that!
I love our decorations. Doesn't Christmas lights make a house so cozy?

I bought the first couple presents today. I'm last minute. That's how I work.
It works for me ~ It's delightful to go in the mornings on the last week of school & be by myself & just think about what everyone has wished for.

My essential oil has been such a blessing this December. I've been able to help people with migraines, kids with flu, depression. They are making such a difference to so many I know & I am so happy to help.
My website is www.youngliving.org/nancylmt if you need anything.
I will help you anyway I can & be happy to send you a sample.

I've learned so many lessons this fall, but the most I've learned is that I doubted what I could do, when I let go of that so much good has happened.

I am so thankful for what I do. I couldn't love what I do anymore than I do.
Massage is a gift. I can help people & I am so grateful for this gift.
I hope you are loving what you do...and if you don't take a chance & make a change.
The most exciting things happen sometimes when you don't think you can, then you take a risk & make a change!!

Hoping you have a wonderful weekend!

Few and Far between.

I have a lot to catch up on!
Our baby girl had the flu the week of Thanksgiving and I'm so thankful we were able to be home and rest. I just kept her well hydrated, gave her oscillococcinum around the clock, homemade chicken broth, made sure she went to the potty every eight hours & we made it through!
My Dad had two stents on his heart this past Friday. I kind of shut down emotionally when something is going on with my Dad. It is very frightening to me! Thankfully, he was able to have this fixed and he is home resting now. My sis, niece, my kids & I spent the weekend at their house making sure they had everything they needed & just being together. I always love time with my sistor & KT.

I am very thankful for easy going children that just go with the flow when we need to do things. They are always with us & I am thankful for that!

I made Tricia Yearwood's "Chicken Bites" from her food network show & they are sooo delicious. Try them if you have something you need to make an appetizer for! They are easy & tasty as can be.

I am extra thankful to have had some women join me in selling the oils! They have realized how lavender, peppermint & lemon can take away allergy symptoms for their kids & the benefits of oils like Di-Gize for tummy upsets, diffusing Joy can change the whole feeling of your home, Frankincense on acne for teens can clear them right up. All without prescription!
I went through & cleaned out our medicine cabinet & realized that we had some old prescriptions from 2007 in there! Doesn't it feel good to clean out?
There are so many tricks you can combine for pain relief!
This is what I used to lessen Kenlee's flu ~ It's little pellets that dissolve under the tongue. It really helps lessen the symptoms. I promise! You can even find it at Publix!
Stars over the weekend! Kenlee would sneeze around my parents dog, and I would put a few drops of these two & peppermint in my hand, rub together, rub on her neck & she would stop sneezing.

I am SO very thankful for my friends that prayed for my Dad! Every day is a lesson that I learn to rely more on prayer ~ because I know God is in control. Of every single detail!

He is GOOD!

Logan's First Deer!

My boy killed his very first deer! 11-24-13!
With his Dad!
So very proud!

BIG DOE DOWN!
This was about an hour before he shot his deer! Josh sent me these two pictures saying how cold they were!

 AND THEN!!!!

Barkley was making sure that wasn't dog blood he was sniffing!!!
I'm beyond excited for my son!! What a fun experience to shoot his first deer. Something he has dreamed of for a long time!
And I am extra thankful he experienced it with his Dad! They have a good time together!
What a wonderful memory to have!

How can it be!?

Almost Thanksgiving! I've started buying little gifts here & there for Christmas! I don't want it to hit all at once & then realize we have about 20 people I need to find something for!
It's turning cold here in Alabama! The colors of the trees are stunning & the kids are having to wear warm jackets to school in the morning.

I'm so looking forward to a relaxing & cozy thanksgiving.
Since it's the 14th day of November, I'm going to mention 14 things I'm thankful for!

1. A warm house
2. Family that I love
3. My Dad doing fine during his chemical stress test last week (we are awaiting results & praying for nothing to worry about)
4. Logan getting to hunt with his Dad this weekend
5. Enjoying my work at Mt Laurel!
6. Kenlee having a fun field trip this week
7. Gas in my car!
8. a clean closet that helps me feel more organized.
9. Health
10. Hope
11. Things working out just the way they are supposed to
12. Selling a bunch on Ebay last week
13. More massages than expected this week!
14. Forgiveness!

What are you thankful for?

This is gonna be a long one!!

Hope your Halloween was fun with your family!
We had a great time...here are a few pictures of our Delta Force guy & our Tiger.

Josh's mom & boyfriend came over to pass out candy while we trick or treated!
I was happy to go to Kenlee's class for the party!
My niece had homecoming last night. I can't believe how old she looks!

She had a great time, and I'm so happy about that!

My Dad has some heart tests going on next week. If you think about it, please say a prayer for him. He also just retired & I want him to enjoy his retirement & have a lot of good fun times to come....I pray he is going to be just fine!
Please join me!!!

I have kept Kenlee from croup this whole week. By just putting Thieves, RC and peppermint oil on her body. This weather change is serious to my kids! Usually they have full blown croup (well, not so much Logan as he has gotten older) I'm serious when I say these are God's healing oils. Diffusing, applying to skin and especially chest and feet has kept some kids I know off of asthma meds this season so far. I am amazed. If you want to talk more about them, please let me know! I will share all the knowledge I have for free!!
 Living with back pain?
 IBS?
 Headaches?

Changing lives one day at a time. I know it has made all the difference in the House of Hudspeth!

Massaging Muscles!

I feel like with the hustle and bustle I hear everyone talk about right now... I need to promote a good bonding time with your kids or family in general. I know my two little loves always put their feet in my lap to rub or sit in front of me because they know my hands usually go to their shoulders :)
I want to encourage you to massage your family! Any essential oils you use, try mixing with olive or coconut oil first, then massage their back or feet. Citrus is very uplifting and encourages positivity, frankincense is healing, lavender is calming, Eucalyptus is excellent for upper respiratory.
And let me remind you, if you apply to the bottom of their feet....it gets in their central nervous system quickly and you can actually see their breathing get more relaxed and the forehead muscles relax.
Life really doesn't have to be all hustle and bustle.

I massaged a 5th grader last week that was out of school because they found a "virus" that she couldn't shake. She came to me 3 times for a 30 min massage last week with essential oils, I told her parents to give her at least 1/2 of her body weight in fluid ounces with water and/or coconut water (double the potassium than sports drinks), baths with epsom salt & rest. With lots of TLC and these sessions, when I saw her Friday...she was like a different child.
I am so thankful for the healing properties of massage & esssential oils.

Kenlee has had stuffy nose this weekend, so I have done a lot of massage & essential oil treatments on her spine, chest, and feet. She normally would have had full blown croup with this weather change....but with the diffuser and what I have been doing, she is so much better than I expected. I am also incorporating Standard Process Prosynbiotic (a great probiotic) in some organic applesauce.

She's a happy girl now. Have to be well for Trick or Treating!!

And Biggy has had a super fun weekend staying well & visiting Tannehill with friends yesterday for some early Halloween Trick or Treating. This family is moving to Africa next September for Mission work & I know he will miss his buds! They are twin boys that are the same age as Logan.
Here tehy were about 3 years ago! Time flies when you're having fun!
Hope you have had a nice relaxing weekend!

My Favorites!

This is my favorite song of life. And I love that my husband is a Holy Grail fan like I am.
I really love JT. Logan & I have been listening to JT's History of Rap every morning. He wants he & his cousin, Cameron, memorize it & have me tape them to send to Ellen! HA! I would! Cameron would be Jimmy Fallon & Logan would be JT.
My favorite oil right now!

My favorite new picture of my two little loves!
My favorite new technique I'm learning! Reflexology of the ears! Plus, it is extra relaxing!
My favorite new purchase! My new diffuser! Also acts as a humidifier. PLUS! It turns itself off when the water runs out! BONUS!

My favorite season!!!

My favorite weather!

Life is good! What are some of your favorites right now?
